Birthzang’s Advice to New Mums

Advice to new mums

As soon as you are pregnant the advice to new mums starts.

What to do for morning sickness, where to buy maternity clothes, how to hide your bump/show off your bump, what to buy/what not to buy, what to pack in your hospital bag, how to prepare for labour, what names are good/bad, what advice you should listen to and what not to!

As if being pregnant isn’t overwhelming enough!

So Birthzang did an entirely unscientific study (asked my Facebook network) what advice they would give to new mums in 10 words or less, to see if there were any recurring themes.

This blog post is the result of over 260 people offering tips and advice! There were certainly some key themes and the messages were very strong!

I am going to start by giving my own piece of advice that was given to me by my big sister when I had Babyzang1.

She said:

“don’t take any notice of any advice!”

Big Sister

It was the best advice I have ever been given!

So to all new mums, just remember…
